Radon News... FYI
In 1986 and again in 1988, Congress directed the E.P.A. to reduce the public's exposure to radon. No substantial progress has been made. Because builders chose to continue to build homes without radon-resistant features faster than radon was being reduced in existing homes millions of additional homes built since 1990 have been added to the tens of millions already in need of radon reduction.

Radon is Real!
On behalf of my husband and many friends,
Gloria Linnertz, VP Cancer Survivors Against Radon
Many of us are not longer present in physical form but no doubt we are here in spirit and represent the thousands of people from every state who die each year from radon-induced lung cancer. We comprise an organization of people who didn't know they were living with elevated levels of radon until the diagnosis of lung cancer invaded out lives and souls.
We urge you to consider sponsoring legislative bills that will help our citizens realize that they may be living with this silent killer, but that it is easy to test and fix if the level is elevated. For some of us, this life-saving measure is too late, but others of us are fighting each day to make a difference so no one else lives, works,or is schooled in environments with radioactive radon gas.
Please contact us for any questions you may have about Radon Gas or to purchase your test kit! www.mallonconstructionandradon.com

Radon News!
Radon News!
Outside air contains very low levels of radon, but it becomes a problem when it accumulates in homes by seeping through cracks, sump-pump pits and other openings. The gas produces radioactive decay particles that can damage the cells that line the lung and lead to lung cancer. Scientifically rigorous epidemiology studies in North america and Europe have clearly established the link between radon exposure in the home and lung cancer. It is the leading environmental cause of cancer mortality in the United States and is expected to be the seventh leading cause of cancer death overall this year.
